CORNELL ANGEL CAPITAL CLUB FORMED.  NATION’S FIRST COLLEGIATE ANGEL CAPITAL CLUB

(Ithaca, NY, April 18, 2018)The Cornell Angel Capital Club was formed and officially recognized by Cornell University today, becoming the nation’s first intercollegiate angel capital club.

In 2017 angel investors contributed their time, expertise and capital in 61,560 different companies, with combined investments totaling $23.9 billion.

The Cornell Angel Capital Club was formed to assist Angel Investment Groups with their important work, by providing formalized research, analysis, and recommendations to Angel Investment Group investment decision-makers and by assisting Angel Investment Group portfolio companies in growing their businesses and preparing for subsequent venture-capital investment.

In a statement released today, William Drummond, president of CACC, said “We are proud of our nation’s first collegiate angel investment club as a way of assisting Angel Investment Groups fulfill their important role in the nation’s economy while at the same time creating a new and exciting way to educate tomorrows financiers and entrepreneurs.”
